My journey here wasn't linear

For years I lived mostly in my head, caught in anxiety, self-doubt and patterns of self-destruction that I couldn't seem to break. It was only when I committed to doing my own deep inner work that things began to shift, and that journey led me to my training as a life coach and EFT practitioner.

I believe every person has the capacity to live a life they truly want and deserve. What I've learned is that real change happens when the whole system is on board, when your body believes what your mind is learning. That's why I combine coaching with EFT tapping, to help you create shifts that go deeper than insight alone.

I bring warmth, genuine curiosity and a safe, non-judgmental presence to every session. If this sounds like something you could benefit from, I would love to walk beside you on your journey.

EFT Basics

What is EFT Tapping?

If you have never heard of EFT tapping before, you are not alone. When I first came across it, I felt sceptical too. But it is one of the most beneficial tools I have ever encountered. It completely changed the way I relate to my own emotions and my body. It allowed me not only to notice my emotions but also to bring them to the surface, recognise the story I was telling myself, reframe it, and let them pass through. Powerful!

So what exactly is it?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. It is sometimes called tapping because that is essentially what you do. You use your fingertips to gently tap specific acupressure points on your face and body while focusing on whatever comes up for you.

How does it work?

When we experience stress, anxiety, fear or emotional pain, our nervous system goes into a state of threat. Our body doesn't know the difference between a real danger and a thought or memory that feels dangerous. Tapping sends a calming signal directly to the part of the brain responsible for that stress response, telling it that it is safe to be acknowledged and stand down.

What makes EFT so unique is that it works on both the mind and the body at the same time. You are not just talking about a problem; you are processing it through your body too, ensuring the whole system is on board. This is why people often feel a noticeable shift quite quickly, sometimes within a single session.

One of the things I find incredible about tapping is what happens when we slow down enough to really listen. As we tap, the body begins to speak. Our intuition surfaces. We start to notice the story we have been telling ourselves, often one we didn't even know was there. One feeling or memory gently leads to another, like a thread being pulled. Old memories that had been sitting quietly beneath the surface begin to come forward, not to overwhelm you, but to finally be seen, heard and released. It is as if the body has been waiting for permission to let go.

What can it help with?

EFT has been used to support people with anxiety, stress, self-doubt, trauma, grief, limiting beliefs, phobias and so much more. Research into EFT is growing and the results are genuinely impressive. Research by Dr Peta Stapleton found that a single EFT session reduced cortisol levels by over 43%, producing real, measurable changes in the body's stress response. In a world-first study using MRI brain scans, Dr Stapleton found that EFT physically changes the brain's neural pathways, while the control group, who received no tapping, showed no change at all.

But beyond the science, what I see in my sessions is people leaving feeling lighter, clearer and more at ease in themselves.

What does a session actually look like?

In our sessions together, we start by identifying what is coming up for you. We then tap through a sequence of points while speaking honestly about how you are feeling. You don't need to have it all figured out beforehand. Often the most powerful shifts happen when we simply allow what is there to be there and tap through it together.

Is it really that simple?

It can feel almost too simple at first. Tapping on your face while saying out loud how you feel? It sounds unusual, I know. But that is exactly what makes it so accessible. You can do it anywhere, any time, and once you learn the points, you are walking away with a tool for life.

Life Coaching

What is Life Coaching?

A lot of people come to coaching thinking they are going to be told what to do. That I will have some kind of answer or road map for their life. But that is actually the opposite of what coaching is.

Life coaching is not about advice. It is not about me telling you what path to take, what decision to make or what your life should look like. You are the expert in your own life. You always have been. What coaching does is help you access what is already there.

So what does a life coach actually do?

My job is to ask the right questions, hold a safe space, and help you get out of your own way. So often we know, somewhere deep down, what we need. But the noise of everyday life, other people's opinions, old beliefs we picked up along the way all of it can drown that knowing out. Coaching helps you get quiet enough to hear yourself again.

What kind of things do people bring to coaching?

People come to coaching for all sorts of reasons. Feeling stuck. A big life decision. A lack of direction or purpose. Wanting more but not knowing what that looks like. Low confidence or self-belief. A sense that something needs to change but not knowing where to start. There is no issue too big or too small. If it matters to you, it matters.

What does a session look like?

We talk. I listen really listen. I might reflect something back to you, ask a question that opens something up, or simply sit with you in the discomfort of not knowing. There is no agenda other than you. Sessions are online so you can show up from wherever you are, in whatever way feels comfortable.

Is coaching for me?

If you have ever felt like you are living a life that does not quite fit, or like you are capable of more but something keeps getting in the way, coaching might be exactly what you need. Not because I have the answers. But because I can help you find your own.

Self Awareness

Why Self Awareness is the Most Powerful Tool You Have

Of all the things I have worked on in my own journey, self-awareness has been the one that changed everything. Not a qualification, not a technique, not a book. The ability to stop, look inward honestly and ask what is actually going on for me right now?

It sounds simple. But it is one of the hardest things a person can do.

So what is self-awareness?

Self-awareness is the ability to notice yourself. Your thoughts, your feelings, your patterns, your reactions. Not to judge them or fix them immediately, but simply to see them. To catch yourself in the middle of a spiral and think there I go again. To recognise when you are reacting from an old wound rather than the present moment. To understand why you do what you do.

Why does it matter so much?

Because you cannot change what you cannot see. So many of us are running on autopilot, driven by beliefs and patterns we picked up through the years, often without even realising it. We wonder why we keep ending up in the same situations, the same feelings, the same stuck places. Self awareness is what breaks that cycle. It is the moment the light comes on.

Personal responsibility the part we often avoid

Here is where self-awareness asks something of us. It invites us to sit with a truth that can feel unsettling at first, that so much of life is outside our control. Other people, circumstances, what happens to us. But the moment we stop pouring energy into what we cannot change, we free up something far more powerful. Our ability to choose our response.

This is something Viktor Frankl understood deeply. He wrote that between stimulus and response there is a space, and in that space lies our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. That quote stops me in my tracks every time because it is so true and so freeing all at once. Nobody can take that space away from you. Nobody can take away your ability to choose.

Taking personal responsibility is not about blaming yourself for everything that has gone wrong. It is about stepping into your own power. Recognising that while life will throw things at you that are completely outside your control, your inner world is yours. How you process things, how you respond, how you move forward, that belongs to you.

It is not about being perfect

Developing self-awareness does not mean you have everything figured out. It does not mean you never react, never spiral, never have a bad day. It means you start to notice when you do. And that noticing, that tiny pause between stimulus and response, is where everything changes.

Learning to trust yourself again

One of the most beautiful things that happens when you start doing this work is that you begin to reconnect with your own intuition. Your gut. Your inner knowing. When you understand your own patterns and recognise how your body reacts to certain situations, something shifts. You start to notice when something feels off before your mind has even caught up. You stop second guessing yourself so much. You begin to trust that quiet voice that has always been there, the one that knows.

So much of the noise in our heads comes from being disconnected from that inner knowing. We look outside ourselves for answers, for reassurance, for permission. Self-awareness brings you back to yourself. Everything else flows from there. How you show up in your relationships, your work, your daily life. Self-awareness is not a destination, it is a practice. And the more you tend to it, the more your whole life begins to shift.
